Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church has a vibrant youth department focused on fostering spiritual growth. We provide an inclusive environment where young members can explore their faith, build friendships, and develop leadership skills through engaging programs, Bible study, and community service projects. Our dedicated leaders mentor and inspire the next generation, empowering them to make a positive impact in their communities and shine brightly on their spiritual journeys.
Pastor Reginald M. Taylor, the inspiring leader of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, brings over 31 years of impactful ministry experience. Renowned for his powerful and dynamic preaching, he has excelled in various leadership roles, including Sunday School Teacher, Bible Class Teacher, and Choir Director. Pastor Taylor's dedication to his calling is matched only by his pride in being a devoted father to his son, Peyton.
Pastor Taylor's ministry is grounded in 1 Corinthians 3:11: *"For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."* His vision for Rising Star is to continue "Building on the foundation, which has already been laid," while fulfilling the church’s missionary purpose.
At 19, Pastor Taylor accepted his call to ministry under his uncle, Pastor Bartholomew Orr. He joined Rising Star as an Associate Minister in 1997, was ordained in 2014, and became the church's fourth pastor in 2023. He encourages everyone to trust in God with all their heart (Proverbs 3:5-6) and seek His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33).
